About the Five Points CAC

The Citizens Advisory Councils (CAC) were organized in 1973 to give citizens a voice in City governemet, educate citizens about important issues affecting the citizens of Raleigh, and serve as an advisory group to the Raleigh City Council.

The Five Points Citizens Advisory Council is one of 18 CACs located throughout the City of Raleigh. Its leaders are volunteers living within the CAC and are supported by a Community Specialist from the City of Raleigh's Community Services Department. Contact information is provided below:.

Jeannine Grissom, Co-Chair
Philip Poe, Co-Chair
Sheila Lynch, Raleigh Community Specialist

As the leadership group becomes aware of issues that affect the Five Points community, it will send out e-mails and publish information on the Five Points Web site at http://fivepointscac.org. Residents, however, are the real eyes and ears for the community. Never hesitate to contact a CAC leader or post an e-mail about a concern you may have.

Please encourage your neighbors and friends within the Five Points CAC area to subscribe to the Five Points CAC e-mail list. It's really easy. Just ask them to send an e-mail to FivePointsCAC-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.
