Water Main Replacements on Hilton, Kimbrough, Ridley and Brewer

Submitted by Phil Poe on Tue, 08/11/2009 - 11:05am.

Water main replacements will begin about mid-September on Hilton and Kimbrough. Once completed, work will move to Ridley and Brewer. The project is expected to last approximately 6 months.  The contractor replacing the mains is  Moffat Pipe, Inc. of Raleigh.

One lane of each street will be closed during the trenching and pipe installation. Homeowners will be contacted a few weeks in advance of the work to coordinate street parking. Once a new water main is in place, water services will be relocated from the old to the new main. This will require the water service to be interrupted for a few hours. Homeowners will be notified before the water service interruption takes place.

This project will be an agenda item at the September 9 CAC meeting. If you would like to talk to someone before the meeting, call or e-mail...
